His personality is encapsulated in his form - he's young and enthusiastic, and bursting at the seams with his love for cricket
and his/its heroes! When he's fully grown he hopes to be a giant (in
both senses) like the masters of the sport he loves so much. Being young
he knows that he can't get it all right the first time or even the
tenth, but the cricketers he looks up to
have taught him to use his elephant strength and step-by-step
determination to reach his goals, and eventually he will be the best.
But as an elephant he always remembers that the love of the sport is the most important thing! Elephants are wise, after all.
He's an elephant through and through, and always uses his head. If he
can't run as fast just yet, he'll use his strength to hit the ball that
much further. If he can't burn down the pitch in the run-up, he'll
perfect his action to launch that ball straight through the bails like a
missile. He may not be as light/nimble on his feet as some and
sometimes it gets him down for a moment, but there's always a solution
if he puts his mind to it.
Sometimes it's hard to be patient, but when he's behind those same bails
as keeper he tries to stay focused and hone his concentration for the
crucial moment. And when things don't go so well he tries to remember to
loosen up and have fun, because that's the most important thing, and
while he wants to rise to the big time like his idols, he loves nothing
more than being a young fella and running out for a bit of street
cricket!
There aren't many things he doesn't like, but while he loves most
spices, he sure can't stand chilli which irritates his sensitive skin
and boy does it burn if it gets up his trunk. And bees. He can't stand
bees (everybody thinks it's mice but that's not true!). The only buzz he
likes is the one before the game! He doesn't really like the blazing
hot sun and it's fun to go for a bit of a splash or at least find a nice
shady spot to cool off in the hot Summer. The only heat for him is the
heat of the pitch!
He loves street cricket, playing or just hanging out with his friends, radio (to listen to the game), street cricket,
television (to watch the game or play it on a console), the net (to
research the stats!), going for a dip when it's hot, and uh, street
cricket. And oh boy, when he gets to go to the game.
Some times he gets a bit over-enthusiastic and tries to remember not
to blow his own trumpet (!). He's getting better at that though and like
his heroes he knows it's all about the training and these things come
with time. And it all adds up to the ultimate, the big time like the ICC
Cricket World Cup, where one day he'll show the whole world what he can do, and how much he loves his sport!
