64 Laughing Styles
AABSHAR H Quazi (Hindustan Times) Kota, April 8 A YOGA exponent of Kota, Swami Harshanand claims to have developed 64 different styles of 'Laughs' to keep the human body free of ailments. Swami Harshanand, who is promoting Yoga at more than 40 schools of Kota and amongst city people, is now thinking of applying for the copyright of these 'Yogic Laughs'. Swami Harshanand, whose Yoga Darshan Kendra in Kota conducts stress- management programs, has introduced 64 laughs as treatment therapy. Informing about the endeavour, he told the Hindustan Times that keeping the fact in mind that laughter helps the body and soul relax, he decided to de-velop different types of laughs. Be it the 'Shankha Hasi,' 'Ur-jaa Hasi', 'Swacchand Hasi', 'Mridang Hasi', or the 'Dandiya Hasi1. each one has a different effect on the body. He even considers 'Crying' as a type of laugh and has named it 'Karuna Hasi'. Harshanand, who is presently teaching over a dozen styles of laughs to school students, further informed that he had evolved the laughs through his own research and wanted to copyright them. He even has started recording these Yogic laughing styles on CD. About the conventional styles of laughter, this postgraduate Yoga exponent says that only the Yogic laughs can awaken the 'Chakras' present in the human body. |
